Great job !!!

The only problem is that dorn has a massive chainsword, not a power sword. I can be wrong though.

He is the grandson of Dorn.

Not Dorn himself.

And believe me, creating a backstory like that required several hurdles to leap over--through the fire and barbs of purists and casual fans alike.

Sorry, I didn't realised it was not Dorn. I know this feel.

In my opinion the only thing wrong here is the sword it just doesn't fit with Dorn, but other than that everything is great.

The sword is an amorphic blade (thankfully).  This is one of it's many forms.

If I can, I'm going to commission DeVmarine to do an action-oriented picture.  With the sword in it's full combat form:  rexspec.deviantart.com/art/The…

Eh, it's just a different kind of sword, not 'too small'. Most Marines tend toward broadswords is all.
I like this.

This is great.
Nice lights on the chest armor, and good details on the "belt".

Look, a one handed Katana isn't even meant to be that long, infact, if this was sheathed it would be scraping against the ground..

The warhammer 40k ain't ruled by the laws of physics, but the law of cool. If it looks good, it's possible.

hehe i see your argument, but a katana can also look like that from final fantasy 7 character, or even in real japan there were several types of katana length;-)

Lol, I can't help to say this but his sword... looks too obvious that it has been photoshopped; need to "refine" the "break" in the sword if you noticed it.

as a realist artist it'd be nice to see someone do a terminator with realist body proportions... if his head is really that size, and his arms are really in the terminator armored arms... well then his shoulders would be torn out of his sockets and pulled out a few inches wider... and it could all be solved just by making the body narrower... anyboby agree?

this pic is still badass though, everytime i look at a terminator i just pretend it's a head attached to a robot

termin armor is an exoskeleton, so the the actual hand of the space marine wouldnt actually be where the terminator hand is..

yeah, but the arm and such... especially with the range of motion they need... it would be hard to put the arms anywhere in the armor's arms... just because of the width of the torso... your shoulders would still be like 70 percent inside the chest piece, which doesnt work well when the armor's arms have articulating shoulders outside of the chest piece... im not worried about it tho, again badass pic

You are talking about a superhuman with at least 2 - 1.5 x the body proportions of the most fit human male. If you look at the armor and then the man within it (i.e. broad shoulders, long limbs, tremendous muscle structure, and a rib cage that holds two hearts and three lungs) this armor actually fits them like a glove.

By all standards, Michael is slightly slimmer then the average Primarch (a little detail that DeV got right with my char, I'm proud to say) so, yes. The proportions would look more plausible.

eh, well then atleast make the head closer to the shoulderline... his neck -length- is still proportionate to his superbuff body, while his head sized has remained normal... eh... it may make sense but i dont like it artistically, prefer the standard human form... grey knight marines are a fav of mine, but the old metal reiklanders ins full plate are the best... and check out these heavy foot knights from the wargames foundry, [link] they're at the bottom of this page, basically your classic gothic knights but with a little bit of buffness... this is how i think armor should be, fitting to a normal human body... although the GW armor is cool in it's own way
