Just finished reading the "A thousand sons" horus heresy novel and felt like drawing one.

I realized that I haven't actually drawn any space marine with a proper bolter yet...so I made him hold a bolter instead of a staff..

Note that this is intended to be Pre-Heresy.

Hello there sir. Would you mind an Awesome Nice critique by me?

I have a thing or two to say about this marvelous drawing. In fact what really atract me most of not just this drawing, is by ALL your works, is that they are VERY incredible detailed.

I can spend like 10+ minutes just looking all the details you put, how they fit together, how they have sense and they have that effect of "texture". Honestly that's what i really like about all your works. On this one i can observe all the effort you put on the development of the metallic parts of the armour, the wings on his legs, the marvelousness on the weapon, ready to shoot.

But something i don't like about your style (excuse me) is that you are always drawing the same. I know is YOUR style but i always see the big-giant-who-is-so-fucking-detailed-to-death, i open your gallery and i see that, i like the "Joker" you did. And that was so awesome indeed. But i would like to see on your drawings backgrounds, something different. If you add a background (i know you can do it) it will increse the potencial of your job, but that's just MY opinion.

That's why i put 3 stars on originality. ^^ I DON'T say your style is bad, but i suggest you to find ways to INNOVATE.

I would like to draw awesome nice metallic parts as you, honestly i admire that aspect of your work. DETAILS. You are a MASTER ON DETAILS.

Awesome again. My only thought is the head is a bit small. Apart from that is awesome and really captures the darkness of 4oK, and the baroque robotisism of the Thosand sons.

Thats fucking AWESOME! i cant wait for someone to color it with maybe a dark mystic background. I love the details you gave him like all the inscriptions and his (crown?) how it is slanted instead of straight which i think always looked gay. Out of all the traitor legiions, thousand sons have always seemed bleak like everyone thinks their unique helmets are enough. Wish theyd include this guy in the upcoming game

It's certainly a very impressive drawing, and the rendering is nice and sharp.

A suggestion about the gun magazine; try making the horizontal lines along the front follow the same angle as the horizontal lines along the front of the gun itself. At present the magazine looks like it's angled away from the viewer. Perspective on curved box magazines is a bitch though, one can but practice.
